Numerology Chart Calculator

Enter a full birth name and date to see four core numerology calculations, with the arithmetic visible. The numbers are a starting point for reflection, not a personal reading or a forecast.

Calculate the four numbers

Use the complete name given at birth, including middle names. I apply the A-Z letter values described below and the separate month, day, and year reduction for the date. The name and date stay in your browser.

Accented Latin letters are counted as unaccented letters. Spaces and ordinary name punctuation add nothing. If a Y appears, tell the calculator how each Y sounds in that name.

What this chart contains

A numerology chart brings calculations from a date and a name into one view. Here I show four commonly used core numbers: Life Path, Expression, Soul Urge, and Personality. The names of those categories come from a symbolic tradition. They do not turn the numbers into measurements of character, evidence about a person's motives, or predictions about what will happen.

The Life Path uses the birth date. Expression uses every letter in the full birth name. Soul Urge uses the vowels in that name, and Personality uses the consonants. Keeping the inputs distinct helps you check the chart. If a date-based value changes when you alter a letter, or the Expression value changes when you change only the vowel classification of Y, the procedure has gone wrong. Neither should happen here.

This page shows arithmetic, not stock descriptions for each result. A familiar number can feel personally significant, but a list of general traits is not a private reading. My written Numerology Blueprint considers how the four parts relate to the situation you describe. It costs CA$65 and is delivered by email within 3 days. For a date-based result that changes with the calendar year, use the separate Personal Year calculator. Neither public calculation requires an order.

The two calculation rules

For the name, I repeat the values 1 through 9 across A to Z. A, J, and S count as 1; B, K, and T count as 2; the sequence continues until I, R count as 9. I add all letters in the relevant group, then add the digits of that total until I reach one digit or 11, 22, or 33. Those three are retained as master numbers under this convention. I use the whole entered name, not a separate reduction of each first, middle, and last name.

For Life Path, I reduce the month, day, and full year separately, retaining 11, 22, and 33 at each stage. I add the three reduced parts and reduce that sum once more by the same rule. The result panel shows all the intermediate values. My date-only Life Path calculator has a full worked example and more detail on that order of operations. My name-only Expression calculator shows the complete A-Z mapping table.

Different published schools use different reduction orders. Hans Decoz explains separate date reductions, while Numerology.com describes the four core categories. These references explain conventions, not scientific support for numerology or a promise that two methods will produce the same number. When comparing charts, compare the actual steps rather than only the final digit.

Vowels, consonants, and Y

A, E, I, O, and U are vowels in this tool. Every other A-Z letter except Y is treated as a consonant. Y can sound like a vowel in one name and a consonant in another. The form therefore asks you about each Y separately instead of silently assigning it to one group. The Expression total still uses every Y, whatever you choose. Only the Soul Urge and Personality partitions change.

Pronunciation is not always obvious from spelling. A person may use a different pronunciation from the one a stranger would assume, and transliterated names raise another layer of choice. If you are unsure, try both Y classifications and compare the visible sums. Do not present one result as settled if the input rule is uncertain. Decoz discusses the variable treatment of Y in the vowel calculation.

If the entered name has no vowels or no consonants under your choices, that part is marked unavailable. The calculator does not invent a zero-valued Soul Urge or Personality number. For the paid report, send the exact birth name and explain any uncertain spelling or pronunciation. A changed name can be worth discussing, but it should not be silently substituted for the original one.

Check a worked example

For Nicholas Evan Smith, the full-name values add to 75. Reducing 75 gives 12, then 3 for Expression. The vowels are I, O, A, E, A, and I. Their values are 9 + 6 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 9 = 31, then 3 + 1 = 4 for Soul Urge. The remaining consonants total 44, then 4 + 4 = 8 for Personality. There is no Y to classify in this example.

Enter Nicholas Evan Smith with August 12, 1990. The date reduces as 8 + 3 + 1 = 12, then 3 for Life Path. The four displayed results should be Life Path 3, Expression 3, Soul Urge 4, and Personality 8.

The example is only a way to verify the calculation. I make no claim about the character or future of a person with that name. The visible letter sequences matter more than a generic meaning paragraph because they show exactly where a different spelling would alter the answer.

Privacy and the boundary of the tool

The form runs in the browser. It makes no calculation request, does not save the name or date in browser storage, and does not put either in the page address. Optional site analytics follow the site's separate tracking choice; the entered details are not included in an analytics event. You can use an invented name and date to check the method before entering any personal details.

The tool accepts Latin A-Z letters, spaces, periods, apostrophes, and hyphens. It removes accents from Latin letters. It does not choose a transliteration for another writing system. Two transliterations can produce different results, so choose deliberately and be honest about the choice. A calendar date must be real and cannot be in the future. If the birth date is unknown, do not invent one and describe the output as a birth chart.

No number here can establish a diagnosis, prove a relationship, settle a financial decision, or guarantee an event. My journal note about the Numerology Blueprint describes what a written report adds and what it cannot do. If you want private interpretation rather than arithmetic, read the service details before booking. If not, the calculations and their steps remain available here without a purchase.

Questions about this calculator

Which name should I enter?

Use the complete name given at birth, including middle names, when you want a birth-name calculation. Another name will give another result. If the original spelling is uncertain, do not treat a guessed result as definitive.

What if my name contains Y?

Choose vowel or consonant for each Y according to how it sounds in that name. The choice changes Soul Urge and Personality, but not Expression. You can recalculate to compare choices.

Why does another numerology calculator disagree?

Check spelling, transliteration, Y, and reduction order. This page sums each full letter group before reducing and retains 11, 22, and 33. Another school may reduce each name part first.

Does this calculator give me a reading?

No. It displays four calculations and their steps without interpreting a person or predicting an event. A written interpretation is a separate service.

What does the Numerology Blueprint cost?

The written Numerology Blueprint costs CA$65 and is delivered by email within 3 days. I use the name, birth date, and context you send to read the numbers together. I do not guarantee an outcome.
