Psychic Reading vs Mediumship Reading: What Is the Difference?

The words psychic and medium are often used as if they mean the same thing. They do not, at least not in the way I practise. A psychic reading looks at the living situation around you. A mediumship reading reaches toward those who have passed. The boundary can touch, but the starting point is different.

What a psychic reading looks at

Psychic work reads the currents around a person, a choice, a relationship, or a period of change. You might bring a question about love, career, money, a move, or a pattern you cannot understand from inside it. I look at what is present, where it seems to be moving, and what you may need to consider.

That is not the same as a fixed forecast. A psychic reading cannot remove another person's free will, guarantee a date, or replace evidence. It is a perspective on a living situation, and living situations change when people make choices.

What a mediumship reading looks at

Mediumship is concerned with contact or impressions connected to someone who has died. People often come because they want reassurance, a particular detail, or a sense that the relationship has not simply disappeared. The work is quiet, and what comes through can be specific, partial, or different from what you expected.

I will never promise that a named person will appear on demand. No honest practitioner can command that. A mediumship reading should leave room for uncertainty and for your own recognition. I write what I receive. I do not fill a quiet space with an invented message.

Which one fits your question?

If the question is about what is happening in your relationship, what to do about work, or where your life is heading, start with a psychic reading. If the question is about someone who has passed and the connection you still carry, mediumship is the more appropriate form.

Where I draw the boundary

A psychic reading begins with a living circumstance. You may be weighing a job, trying to understand a relationship, or deciding whether to move. I look at the situation you describe and write what I receive about it. Mediumship begins with a different request: you are asking about contact with someone who has died. I cannot turn one kind of question into the other simply because the words feel similar. Tell me the purpose of the reading in ordinary language, and the distinction becomes clearer.

Neither form should be mistaken for evidence about another person's private mind. A living person's choices remain theirs. In mediumship, I cannot promise contact with a named person on demand or guarantee a particular message. I record what comes, including uncertainty. If nothing recognisable comes through, I will not invent a detail to make the account seem complete.

When grief and a current decision meet

A loss can affect a relationship, a home, and work at the same time. If you want to understand a decision you face now, that belongs in a psychic reading even when grief is part of the background. If you are hoping for impressions connected to the person who died, that is a mediumship request. You may feel both needs, but they are not interchangeable. Name the one you want addressed first so I can keep the work focused.

Some questions cannot be settled by either reading. A dispute over an estate needs legal advice. Concerns about health need medical care. A reading cannot establish a fact for an insurer, a court, or an employer. Spiritual work may sit beside practical support, but it does not replace it.

For a psychic reading, send one situation or decision, the names and dates relevant to it, and the question you want me to consider. I do not need a complete archive of conversations. For mediumship, say whom you hope to hear about and what relationship you had. You can tell me what you are seeking, but do not feel obliged to supply a script for a message.
