Why writing changes the work
Writing removes the social pressure of a call. I am not reading your face, your tone, or your reaction. I am sitting with the question and committing to the answer in plain text.
When a call is not ideal
If you are distressed, embarrassed, or trying to hide the question from someone nearby, a call can make the situation worse. Written work lets you read privately and pause.
How to use the report
Read it once, leave it alone, then read it again after a day. The second reading is often where the useful part lands.
